You are invited to an art auction fundraiser to be held on Friday the 8th December 2006 from 6pm -10pm at the Rose St Artists Markets, 60 Rose St. Fitzroy, Melbourne. The evening will be showcasing contemporary Melbourne artists, there will be live music, drinks available, a documentary played. Nibbles included in the $5 entry.
The night is to raise money for orphanages and a clinic on the Thai/Burma border which is now the home to several hundred thousand refugees who have fled Burma due to a brutal military dictatorship. Please see http://burmachildren.com/ for more information.
The auction will be silent, starting at 6pm with the highest bid at 9pm the winner. A traditional Karen band ‘Unsound Melodies’ will be playing at 7.30pm and a documentary will be played after 9pm.
So please come along for a drink and help support this needy cause.
